s.k.d.Designs began as and outlet for designer Stephie Kate to create work outside of her Masters Degree at Cranbrook Academy of Art. What started as an after hours interest has become the focal point of her business interests.
RADIANCE IN SILVER AND STEEL is a line of jewelry completed solely by the designer, all by hand in her Denver based studio. This line combines two metals that have different functions but whose sole purpose is to uphold the integrity of strength in their respective industries. Silver is a fine, feminine metal indicative of grace. Steel is a fantastically strong, masculine material whose image is industrial. Each metal has an individual strength that when combined, work together to exemplify the beauty in polarity.
